Trick or Treat?

Then carried on to Tuesday with a precious Halloween costume party at our Mother Baby Connection class. There was a strawberry, a hula girl, a chicken and even Tom Cruise showed up among other cuties! I almost forgot to post the pictures!! Unfortunatley I didn't get everyone before my camera died...

Thursday our local Chik Fil A had a unique trunk or treat event. It was actually very chilly and Grace had to swap her Little Pumkin emsemble for a warmer costume. A cute pink butterfly. Halloween morning we met up with a few friends from our Moms4Moms group and visited with the residents at a local assisted living facility. The residents were very happy to see the kids and some gave out candy. Grace is pictured with her friends Bryce and Clara. Clara is wearing her pumpkin outfit from her grandma ad Bryce is the dog from Annie and his mom was dressed as Annie.

After all that excitement we were off to a Halloween lunch at Taste in College Park organized by two girls from our MBC class. They had the tables decorated with pumpkins, gift bags and cupcakes and even skelton straws! Thank you ladies for a fantastic lunch!

The evening started with Grace eating dinner in her stroller. She loves to feed herself! It is messy but she will get better with practice and besides it is so cute to watch. After she gets a full belly we always have a happy baby! (Just like her Mom)
We went to Cranes Roost for trick or treating. A great area behind the mall built around a lake. They have many free events nightly and many special events around the various holidays.

Grace with some of the folks giving out candy.

Grace and Daddy checking out the loot!
So cute!! Watch her after Jim shows her how to lick the lollipop.

It started gettign dark and we were done for the day.
A neighbor of ours goes all out when it comes to Halloween.
Whew! What a day or week I should say. Grace was asleep before I got out of the mall parking lot and didn't get to catch a last glimpse of the decorations. We hope everyone had a good evenig.

A surcie from Great Aunt Dell

A big box arrived for Grace!

She was so happy she was clapping!

She couldn't wait to look inside the box.
And she wanted to keep the goodies all to herself. Here she is looking at the picture of her Great Aunt Dell. Listen as Grace sees the kitty sticker on the envelope. And when we ask where is the kitty she looks around for our kitty, Mickey D.

She is not sure what to make of her new porcelain doll. But she loves the puffs! Thank you Great Aunt Dell. Hugs and Kisses!

Here is the action shot of Grace taking a few steps! Right toward the pallets of course! Danger, Danger! See all the great pumpkins to choose from. It was so much fun.

Here is the nature lover again playing with flowers and hay instead of posing for the pictures with Mommy! LOL

Grace still looks like Grandpa. Bald on top. But still cute as ever. I can't imagine what she will look like with hair.... So many people have said to me there little one didn't have hair till 2 yrs old! Oh My!

The Great Pumpkin Patch (cont)

Our first family Halloween Photo! How cute does Grace look in the outfit made by my Auntie Cathie! Thanks Auntie Cathie!! She also had a cute head band with a bat on it but she WOULD not keep it on her head... I will keep trying.

Grace standing! And walking! She started this about 2 weeks ago. She takes about 5-10 steps then falls on her behind. But gets up again with the greatest of ease and starts again.

Grace wanted to walk on the pallets but didn't understand she would fall through the slats so Grandpa was helping her.

Grace and The Great Pumpkin Patch

Up the street from our house is a wonderful pumkin pactch and I couldn't wait to take Grace there and pick out a pumkpin. They have many varieites of pumpkins and gourds. We got some wonderful pictures of us all together (thanks Grampa). I think we will make this a family tradition.

Mommy and Daddy as farmers.

Grace and the swan gourds. The neck of the gourd bends just like a swan's neck. pretty neat!

These pumpkins have raised bumps onthem--sorta creepy. But one was just the right size for Grace.

These little guys are called Spookie's. Too cute!
